For a recent Charleston engagement shoot, I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Adam downtown. Now Jessica grew up here in the lowcountry so she knew a lot of the places we were going, but Adam on the other hand is from “across the pond” as they like to say. As in the “pond” being the Atlantic Ocean via England! Their wedding is coming up here in January which is only just a month or so away. While we were out having some fun around town, we ended up at Waterfront Park with their two “kids”. One is a rather large kid as in a St. Bernard called “Crusher” and a Mastiff puppy called “Fred“. All I know is that when you are walking with “Crusher” downtown, nobody wants to mess with you! Both of their dogs are as sweet as they can be and would probably just lick you to death if anything happened. 😉 I’m so looking forward to kicking off my 2011 wedding season with them! Congratulations to the both of you!

Sommer and Mike had a very special intimate wedding ceremony held at Hampton Park earlier this month. It was a gorgeous October day with clear skies and sunshine. That’s one of the great things about having a wedding here in Charleston, SC during the fall. While other parts of the country are freezing, we’ve got great weather! They had some little cutie flower girls and in one of the pics below, you can see that she was all “attitude”! ha! Sommer and Mike’s dog, Barley who is a jack russell terrier, was the ring bearer for their wedding. Now most of the jack russell terriers that I have ever seen are just a non-stop ball of energy and all over the place. Well little Barley had to be one of the best behaved dogs that I have ever seen! He just trotted right up the aisle holding the ring box in his mouth like he does that sort of thing all the time. So funny! I told Sommer that her jack russell must also be part squirrel because I have never seen a dog climb up a tree so easily as he did. I managed to get a few quick pics of Barley looking at me while we had him perched on an oak tree limb for some quick after ceremony shots. He was a little more interested in all the squirrels running around down below. 😉
