I recently attended the military commissioning of officers for the Citadel down at White Point Gardens (The Battery) in downtown Charleston just a few weeks ago. Teresa and her family were on hand to present her husband Mike his bars as an officer. I was really happy to be apart of this honored tradition for the men and women of the armed services. I’ve never attended a military commissioning before, but it was such an honor to see these men who have worked so hard to become an officer and all of the history that goes along with this ceremony. Mike’s grandfather, who is a military veteran, was on hand to present him his sword during the ceremony. How cool is that!  Afterwards we were able to get some of the big family group portraits and then take some more fun pics of with the kids. Congratulations to Mike for this great accomplishment!
