Katie and Mark were married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Thomas Bennett House located in downtown Charleston. Both the ceremony and reception were held on the estate grounds which is always nice for family and friends because once they get there, they don’t have to travel anywhere else. (downtown can be quite the challenge sometimes) The weather was gorgeous for an outdoor October wedding and Katie looked fantastic in her wedding dress! I’m surprised her groom, Mark,  didn’t start to tear up just a bit when he saw her walking down the aisle. 😉 Lindsey over at Tiger Lily event planning did a wonderful job on the set up and the reception area was just beautiful! Congratulations to the both of you! I had a great time photographing your big day!

Now I just LOVE it when couples decide that they want to do what I like to call a “first looks“! That’s a very special moment when the bride and groom are off by themselves and see each other for the very first time before the actual wedding ceremony. It’s a very private moment that the couple gets to share without all of the other distractions going on during a wedding event. I know that folks here in the South don’t like to do that (see each other before hand) but I just love being able to capture a very fun, intimate moment for the couple. Yay! 😉
