Most of the country in February is typically really cold. Well not here in good ol’ Charleston, SC! We had beautiful weather for the wedding of Ashley & David at the Citadel’s Summerall Chapel with a gorgeous reception at the Mills House. David graduated from the Citadel a few years ago and had the Sword Drill team for the recessional. After that we headed over to the Mills House for a beautiful reception that was setup for all of the family and guests. I had a great time photographing my first wedding for the new 2011 season! I also have to thank my good buddy, Chris Smith, for helping me second shoot. When the two of us get together we work really well and have anywhere between 8 and 10 Nikon speedlights setup for a reception. Now matter what the conditions are, we can always light it up! 😉

I love it when couples decide to do what I like to call “first looks“. It is such a special time for just the bride and groom to be alone without anyone else around (except the photogs 😉 ) to capture some really special moments.
