The Citadel Wedding of Ashley & David in Charleston, SC

Most of the country in February is typically really cold. Well not here in good ol’ Charleston, SC! We had beautiful weather for the wedding of Ashley & David at the Citadel’s Summerall Chapel with a gorgeous reception at the Mills House. David graduated from the Citadel a few years ago and had the Sword Drill team for the recessional. After that we headed over to the Mills House for a beautiful reception that was setup for all of the family and guests. I had a great time photographing my first wedding for the new 2011 season! I also have to thank my good buddy, Chris Smith, for helping me second shoot. When the two of us get together we work really well and have anywhere between 8 and 10 Nikon speedlights setup for a reception. Now matter what the conditions are, we can always light it up! ;-)

I love it when couples decide to do what I like to call “first looks“. It is such a special time for just the bride and groom to be alone without anyone else around (except the photogs ;-) ) to capture some really special moments.
