Valentine’s Day…..a day of love, roses, chocolate candy in heart shaped boxes, and oh yeah, an engagement ring!!! Cory had planned out a special day for Lori in Charleston with a carriage tour and then a “walk” thru the gardens at the Battery in downtown Charleston. Well little did she know that an engagement ring had been hidden in Cory’s boot all day before the big surprise! Now it was freezing cold with the wind blowing off of the harbor, but Lori was so excited I don’t think that she cared how cold it was after that ring was on her finger. ha! Yes I know it’s normally cold in February in most parts of the country, but here in Charleston if it gets below 55 degrees everyone has on coats, hats, scarfs and gloves because we don’t like cold weather here in the South! Congratulations to Cory and Lori on their engagement and for letting me spend a very memorable Valentine’s Day with the two of you! Also thanks for your service in the armed forces!
