I always have a great time working with all of the folks at the Charleston CVB for their annual luncheon. The CVB does such a great job at promoting Charleston and really recognizing all of the local businesses that make up the local community and travel council members. I guess that’s one of the reasons Charleston is always ranked in the top ten of cities that everyone wants to visit in America! This year’s speaker was the talented Sara Spagnola from Travel + Leisure magazine. She talked about how other cities try to promote themselves and garner more tourist and destination dollars into their local economies. When you’re on top as the best city of the year (Charleston, SC) everyone else has to try and catch up! ha! Another important function at the luncheon is always recognizing the Pineapple Award winners for the Charleston area through the CVB. Lt. Governor Glenn McConnell was presented with this years Barrett Lawrimore Leadership award plate. (See all the winners pics below!) A special thank you goes out to Helen Hill and Ali Bedard at the CVB  who always do such a fine job with this luncheon. 😉

Recently Hope and Dave tied the knot at her families church, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and then celebrated with family and friends at Founders Hall in Charletowne Landing. What a wonderful service at her church and then a great party for their reception! Now Dave and all of his buddies are big time softball players and he loves the sport so much that you can find elements of his passion all throughout the details of their wedding. How Dave proposed to Hope was a really special event that took a lot of planning and coordination to say the least. Instead of me trying to explain it, you can read all about it on their custom designed engagement site that I created awhile back to keep all of the guests up to date on everything going on before the wedding. Just click on the “details” section right HERE. (A special thanks goes out to my buddy, Joey Grob, for helping me photograph this wedding!) Congratulations to the both of you and I wish you many, many happy years of marriage! 😉
