A few weeks ago I had a wonderful wedding shoot located at the historic Charlestowne Landing site at the Legare-Waring House. (Charleston was founded at Charlestowne Landing in 1670) Michelle and PJ met while attending the College of Charleston and what better place to get married than in Charleston! The beautiful weather that we had lead to a great day under the avenue of oaks for their ceremony. Stacey and her crew from Red Letter Events did a wonderful job decorating the venue with bright, vibrant colors and decor all around. I do love photographing Jewish wedding ceremonies because of the traditional customs and rich heritage that goes along with such a big day in a couple’s life. We got to do a “first glance” session right before their ceremony which is always fun for me to do. It gives the couple a chance to see each other for the very first time without all the pressures of family and guests around them. Plus once that is done, I can start on family portraits ahead of time. There was definitely a lot of family pics for this group and you couldn’t have a better backdrop for a location! 😉 Congratulations to the both of you!

Of course I had to have a little bit of fun with Michelle and PJ by the “gator sign“. We do have a few of them around these parts……. 😉

I had the pleasure of photographing a very intimate wedding ceremony the other week out at the beautiful Kiawah Ocean Course Clubhouse. Bentley and Bill couldn’t have picked a better place to say their vows right on the oceanfront! We had great weather and just an unbelievable sunset over the marshlands and beach. Most of the time you’ll get some low cloud cover that won’t always allow you to photograph the big, orange ball glowing in the sky, but as luck would have it, we got just that! I’m really honored to be asked to capture such special moments for a couples during one of the most important days of their lives. It also doesn’t hurt to have such a beautiful, fun loving bride and handsome groom to work with! 😉 Congratulations to the both of you!
