When I met up with Christina and Thomas earlier this summer to photograph their engagement session, Christina was telling me about all of these ideas that she had  for her wedding and what she was planning on doing with details. Well, she sure didn’t disappoint when it came to planning a beautiful wedding over looking the Ashley River at Magnolia Plantation. She had a ton of details! One really cool thing was that all of the candle holders on the tables were made from her grandmother’s old spring mattress. Her “something blue” were some really great “Tom’s bridal shoes” where when you purchase a pair of shoes from that company, they buy another pair of shoes for needy children all over the world.  Then she had everyone’s name listed on some old, vintage style  windows outside where guests were to sit during the reception. Another neat idea was to write down how far some of the guests had come to be at their wedding ceremony. Needless to say Brisbane, Australia were the long distance winners coming in at 9296 miles! Wow! Overall we had great weather for a November wedding here in Charleston (which is usually the case). Oh, and I loved the 1928 Model A Ford that they left in. (I’m a big Ford fan. ha ha!)  Special thanks to my friend and fellow photographer, Kate Mckinley, for rocking it out with me at this wedding. Congratulations Christina and Thomas! I know that I will see the two of you “running” on a beautiful adventure for the rest of your lives.
