Melissa, a friend of mine that I have known all the way back to middle school got married the other week and I was fortunate enough to be a part of their very special day. She and her now husband Mick were married at the Thomas Bennett House in downtown Charleston. It’s such a great venue to have both the ceremony and reception all located in the same place! It sure saves this photographer from having to pack up a ton of gear and head to a reception site. I must be getting old! ha ha! Anyways, they had a wonderful band called Almost Brothers from Other Brother Entertainment and the delicious food was catered by Hamby’s catering. They were so happy after the ceremony that they really wanted to hit the dance floor and party the night away! Congratulations to the two of you!

A quick dress shot.

Some last minute touches…….

I love these stairs at the Thomas Bennett House.

I couldn’t help but add a pic of both of the mothers looking out the window before the ceremony started.

Of course I have to follow that one with Melissa looking out the window……

Mother and daughter right before stepping out to go down the aisle.

I love it when I’m able to get a quick shot of a groom getting all choked up as his beautiful bride is coming down the aisle.

This was a shot from my other photographer, Joey Grob who was helping me out for this wedding. I just helped him on his wedding this past Saturday!

Now this was a very special bottle of wine that Mick was saving for a “special” occassion. I guess it was a good time to break it out!

Just outside the house for a late night shot.

Some different pics of the outside venue.

Now I did tell Melissa that I had to post a funny picture of her leaving in the rickshaw. As you can tell she and Mick were getting pelted with birdseed! Ouch! ha ha!

Valerie Schooling / Wow, beautiful work! I love that dress shot in the window. Such a neat house! Looks like you're rocking wedding season! :-) Btw, remember the couple you saw me shooting downtown a few weeks ago? I just did an engagement session last week for a black couple, and the groom has more bling in his mouth than I've ever photographed before. LOL.   11.30.1999- 12:00am
Lisa Dozier / I love the pictures and the video! Melissa.. you look so beautiful! I looks like you had a magical night. Congratulations! I love you. Lisa   11.30.1999- 12:00am
Melissa Maughon / Robbin, the pictures are awesome! You and Joey did a phenomenal job. I will never get tired of looking at the pictures and will now be able to relive that day over and over. Thank you for the lifelong memories!!   11.30.1999- 12:00am

Lisa and Robert got married in April out at Magnolia Gardens, SC just a few weeks ago. They had such a beautiful wedding out on the side lawn of the estates no April showers either which was really nice! ;-) Victoria Novak from Frampton’s Flowers did a wonderful job as always with the arrangements and bouquet. Snyder’s party rental provided a really nice setup under the porch area of the main house and also the clear tent for the reception dance floor.

Now both Lisa and Robert are in the military and the last that I heard was that they were already back in Iraq serving our country! I guess Uncle Sam doesn’t allow long honeymoon’s, eh?? ;-) Be careful and stay safe over there! And I thought it got hot here in Charleston in the summer time……….

Plantation House at Magnolia Gardens.

Since it was such a nice day outside, why not do a dress shot out there too!

Getting ready to go!

Lisa and her dad coming down the path.

This was a shot from across the white bridge from my other photographer John Shumpert who was helping out.

This was great because when the pastor told Robert to kiss his new bride, he said “Wow, and kiss her he did”. Everyone got a laugh out of that.

On the dance floor for the very first dance.

Quick ring shot…….

Flowers are ready to launch!

This one was to funny not to add in the mix!

Lisa Blackmon / Thank you SO much for all the awesome pictures you and John took for us! There are so many, its so hard to choose and I look at them for hours a day trying to make decisions! You two truly went above and beyond and I will treasure this day forever, due to your wonderful photography.   11.30.1999- 12:00am
